Description

The Program Manager is a role ideally taken by one of the more experienced engineers who has sufficient experience and communication skills that they will be looked to for guidance and decision-making on major issues related to the execution and projects delivery.

The role is to lead and support all program core team members with an overview of the ongoing sub-projects work plans. Ensure work is carried out according to the expectations of the stakeholders, especially in close alignment with the Senior Program manager and with the goals and objectives of the business as defined by the Executive Committee.

Responsibilities:

• Project finance Management
• Have a profit improvement plan in place on each of the projects under your leadership
• Foster\drive cost reduction actions
• Keep track of main financial indicators (material margin, BOM cost, EBITDA and IRR) of your projects
• Work with finance to maintain the projects finance tracker up to date
• Review regularly with commercial teams all pending open points in regards treasury
• Review regularly future forecast demand
• Monitor yearly project Engineering resources budget vs actuals.
• Project manning & housekeeping
• Ensure proper project records and documentation are fulfilled
• Maintain project measurables up-to-date
• Maintain regular project team meetings in place with all the functional leads
• Capture meeting minutes and follow up of open actions
• Prepare leadership reviews for ongoing changes \ and Gate reviews for phase transition
• Maintain project team list, contacts and escalation matrix up-to-date
• Keep track of project resources, including dedicated tools, processes, licences, certifications
• Keep track of supply base status - » SWOT analysis
• Keep track of project manufacturing KPIs (FTT, OEE, Scrap rate, labour, overheads..) and any necessary additional investments
• Project change Management
• Ensure each change is tracked and managed by means of a PIC
• Ensure each Risk issue or opportunity is captured and dealt with
• Maintain a Program schedule for key ongoing sub-projects using MS project
• Support quality teams with necessary inputs and documentation whenever applying\re-applying for a customer PPAP process
• Customer focus
• Ensure a regular review with your customer points of contact
• Develop trust and business partnering relation with your customer contacts
• Maintain an updated list of customer contacts\addresses
• Support commercial teams with technical & business background, developing customer quotations, providing key customer communications
• Bridge customer requests and specifications with the rest of the Visteon organization
• Adhere to customer processes requirements and specifications.
• Provide timely feedback to all customer requests.
• Quality focus
• Promote technical design reviews, release readiness reviews and Subject matter experts reviews whenever applicable
• Follow up on suppliers changes and ensure PPAP\PSW are reviewed and in place
• Follow up on client supplier score cards - Promote actions to recover the status
• Support teams with quality claims \Warranty returns by championing 8D analysis and ICA and PCA

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in engineering or similar
• Minimum 10 year work experience, min. 2 years in automotive industry (working with French OEM preferred)
• Certification on Project management by an accredited entity (PMP, IPMA, Prince, ..) is a bonus
• Certification on Lean manufacturing, 6sigma, Agile is a bonus
• IATF 16949:2016 training and Automotive Spice training is a bonus

Hard Skills

• Experience in project management and all of its dimensions

• budget, resources, schedule, scope, change integration, cost, quality, stakeholders, risk, communication & value chain management,

• Business acumen, negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Automotive Product Development, technologies and lifecycle
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MSProject, Outlook , Onenote)
• Fluency in English(both written and spoken)
• French or Spanish speaking is a bonus
• Knowledge of embedded Software in Automotive Electronics is a bonus
• Knowledge on digital systems, electronics, hardware and hardware validation is a bonus
• Knowledge on the fields of cybersecurity and automotive functional safety is a bonus
